The Schneider Electric Spark: Fueling AI Education for the Next Generation!
Dive into the world of AI this summer with our 10-day program! High school students can join us to develop a strong foundation in AI and use it to create projects that make an impact.
Program Overview
This program is designed to inspire curious high school students by exposing them to the defining technology of our times: Artificial Intelligence. AI is everywhere: in our voice-activated devices, smartphone face recognition systems, and autonomous vehicles. The potential to apply this technology for good is limitless.
Students will explore the different applications of machine learning models and learn how artificial intelligence can help us develop a deeper understanding of language, power self-driving cars, and much more. Students will learn Python, apply algorithms to real-world datasets, discuss AI ethics and applications, and complete an instructor-led group project. At the end of the course, family and friends will be invited to join a virtual poster session where students will present their final projects.
Program Info
Duration: 10 sessions (2.5 hours per session)

DNA Detectives for COVID-19
Using genomic data, create machine learning models to trace the origins of COVID-19 strains to understand its spread!
Finding Exoplanets
Train models with data from NASA’s Kepler space telescope to detect and characterize exoplanets, potentially helping us discover alien life!
Disaster Relief - Analyzing Tweets for Resource Allocation
Using natural language processing techniques, we can help first responders allocate food, water, and medicine more efficiently to help alleviate crises.
Pneumonia Detection
Experiment with computer vision techniques to train an AI model to detect pneumonia from X-ray images of lungs! Explore how radiologists can collaborate with AI to improve patient outcomes.
We proudly recognize Schneider Electric as our sponsor for this summer's AI Enrichment program. We thank them for their generous support and investment, allowing 15 students to participate at no cost, paving the way for a more diverse, inclusive future!
