Attendance Policy

Before applying to our Artificial Intelligence Enrichment program, we kindly request all prospective students carefully review and agree to the following Student Agreement. This agreement details the expectations and commitments necessary for your eligibility and to ensure a successful learning experience for both you and your fellow participants.

1) Attendance for the First Day (In-Person): Attendance on the first day of the program is mandatory and will be held in person. The first day is the foundation for the entire program, providing essential skills and knowledge for making the most out of subsequent virtual sessions. 

2) Commitment to Attend All Virtual Sessions: We expect all students to fully commit to attending all virtual sessions throughout the program. Consistent engagement and participation are critical to your progress and the overall success of the class. Any unexcused absence may significantly hinder your learning and disrupt the class dynamics.

• Excused Absence Policy: If you encounter an unavoidable situation preventing you from attending a virtual session, you must notify the instructor. Only excused absences will be considered valid.
• Make-up Sessions for Excused Absences: Students with excused absences must make up for missed content by reviewing session recordings. We expect you to catch up on the material so you can actively participate in subsequent sessions.
• Unexcused Absence Consequences: Unexcused absences may result in the termination of your enrollment. We are committed to maintaining a committed and supportive learning environment for all participants, and multiple absenteeism undermines the program's effectiveness.

3) Mandatory Attendance of Effective Presentation Techniques Session (In-Person): Students must attend the "Effective Presentation" session in person. This session is designed to prepare you for the Showcase day, allowing you to rehearse presentations with your groups. Through this practice, you can enhance your ability to communicate projects effectively and develop strong presentation skills.

4) Mandatory Attendance on the Last Day (Showcase - In-Person): The program's final day is designated as Showcase Day and will be conducted in person. Your active participation is mandatory on this day. This is your opportunity to showcase the knowledge and skills acquired during the course and celebrate the class's collective success. It's important to note that Showcase Day is not just about your achievements. It's also a commitment we make to our sponsors and partners. By presenting your projects and sharing the program's impact, we demonstrate our program's quality and the skills our students have acquired. Your presentations reflect the essence of what we offer and contribute to the reputation of our educational initiative.

By enrolling in this program, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms of this Student Agreement. You agree to adhere to the attendance and participation requirements outlined herein.
